Kindikids is warm, welcoming and inviting, offering the opportunity for children to enhance their skills in a variety of mediums. Open-plan classrooms, natural lighting and ventilation allow learning to be focused and engaging. Natural vertical gardens, manicured landscaping, and edible seasonal vegetable beds provide children with all sensory elements of the natural environment. Additionally, our educators clean and disinfect after each mealtime, nappy and toileting session throughout our daily routine.
How do you ensure a healthy and hygienic environment for my child?
We are committed to providing a clean and healthy environment for your child and encourage you to ask any questions you may have about our health and hygiene practices. We adhere to strict health and hygiene protocols, including:
Regular handwashing – children and staff must wash their hands frequently throughout the day, especially before meals, after using the bathroom, and after playing outdoors.
Sanitisation – we regularly sanitise surfaces, toys, and equipment to prevent the spread of germs.
Sick child policy – we have a clear sick child policy to ensure that children who are ill are kept home to prevent the spread of infection. We monitor children during the day, should they become unwell in care.
Medication administration – we follow strict procedures to administer medication to children who require it, and ensure we receive parental consent
Training – our staff receive ongoing training in health and hygiene practices to ensure they are equipped to maintain a safe and healthy environment for children.
What steps do you take to ensure my child’s safety?
Kindikids maintains a safe, inviting and warm environment for children, families and educators. Each location in the service has key supervision points, both indoor and outdoor environments, to ensure they are effectively monitored and controlled. Kindikids is equipped with security surveillance cameras and operates in adherence to the Workplace Surveillance Act. Our entry and exit doors are secure, including from car parks, and require pass access, each visitor must sign in via the office and our team are attentive to persons entering and leaving the building. The only people who are allowed to pick up your child are those you have provided as authorised contacts who have provided valid identification. Our centres are also monitored by back-to-base emergency security services. All employees hold a current NSW ‘Working with Children’s Check’ throughout their employment.
How many children does each educator care for?
At Kindikids we ensure that educator-to-child ratios are adhered to at all times with no exception. The current ratio requirements under the National Quality Framework are:
0 – 2 years = 1:4
2 – 3 years = 1:5
3 – 5 years = 1:10
We exceed National requirements by having no less than two educators open and close our centres daily. We allocate additional educators across all centres to ensure that each child is provided with the highest quality education and care at all times. Focusing on children’s individual developmental progress achievements, your child’s Primary Educator engages in the planning cycle, observing their ideas/interests, and facilitating their continuity of learning. Families will see individualised Kindikids App posts showcasing their child’s engagement in the daily routine and program. Rosters and annual leave are carefully considered to ensure the consistency of educators for children and families upon arrival and departure times. What is the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) and how does it aid in the payment of my fees?
The Child Care Subsidy (CCS) is government assistance to help you with the cost of childcare in Australia. CCS is received to Kindikids directly and reduces your daily fees based on your personal circumstances. To receive CCS, you will need to apply directly through the Centrelink. In order to link your CCS to Kindikids you must provide the Customer Reference Number (CRN) for yourself and your child as soon as practicable to Kindikids. You will then need to complete a Complying Written Agreement (CWA).
